Shoot with Sophie Merry

Once again, I got to work with Sophie for another great shoot. I met that morning with her and the makeup artist, Parima Barghgir who was looking for photos for her portfolio. I was delighted to help out and take some shots. That's what it's all about. Helping each other out with our portfolios! I have some stunning pics of Sophie, I could nearly make a book by now! We were also given dresses by the hugely talented Claire Garvey ( ) and we shot in the Hole in the Wall Pub out by the Phoenix Park in Dublin. It was such a great day and Parima supplied us with some yummy pie and espresso.

Something for my Dad's 60th

My Dad's 60th Birthday is coming up and every year I make a card for him, and well, pretty much the same applies to the rest of my family. This year I decided to make a mosaic featuring some images of my dad in his life. I produced the above photo easily in Photoshop and while it might not be the best card I've ever made, I think the idea is nice anyway :)

I bought a new sketch pad recently and have decided to go back to my first love - sketching! I have a huge thing for cupcakes and I'm trying to come up with a running theme that I can develop more.

I've known Laura for nearly 10 years so she is very used to
having to pose for me. I couldn't resist taking some pics in
the park today in the lovely weather!

Following on from the graphic pieces I created of my old cameras, I decided to paint versions of these graphics. While I created the cameras in PS, I painted the canvas's and added buttons.

Sophie Merry

I love shooting Sophie. She's such a pro! I don't have to direct her at all, she's so good with the camera. She's so down to earth and up for anything so it was a breeze to work with her. We set off up to the Dublin Mountains to do our shoot yesterday and discovered some lovely places to take pics. Here are some of my faves... Oh and check out Sophie's portfolio :

I love to paint when I'm in the mood which I'll admit, isn't
that often. The following paintings are of my niece and
two nephews using Acrylics on 5x7 canvas.

Vector Work

So I'm still catching up by posting previous work on here and probably will for a little while! I just want to show that I have interests in other areas besides photography. Here are a few vector drawings I created in Adobe Illustrator last year.

Wm and Yuri 2010

My friend of 9 years got married this year to his love and I was delighted to be their photographer for the day. The Bride was beautiful and the whole day was lovely. We began down in Wicklow town where the lovely couple were married, then onto the grooms family home where a traditional tea giving ceremony was held. Then it was onto a lovely reception in Dublin City where the celebrations continued on into the night.

Michael and Nicola 2010

This was without a doubt my favourite wedding to date. Michael and Nicola are so suited to each other. Their dry sense of humour kept me smiling all day. Everything about this day was amazing!
